This panel will explore the evolution of Black political influence in Newark and across the nation, focusing on historical milestones, local movements, and contemporary leadership. It aims to highlight the enduring contributions of Black leaders, explore strategies for sustaining political influence, and discuss the role of activism and policy in achieving equity.
