Since 2009, Maher Charitable Foundation has invested in early learning and policy efforts to increase access to quality education for children in New Jersey. Through initiatives like Pre-K Our Way, they've expanded state-funded Pre-K from 35 to over 175 districts, benefiting thousands of children. Now, they're also focusing on civic learning and engagement to promote economic and social mobility.
This is why they are CHANGEMAKERS.


We are honored to celebrate them along with the 
Schumann Fund for New Jersey and the Victoria Foundation.

The Anniversary Countdown Continues!

The Changemakers Gala is the culmination of our anniversary celebration. For 55 years, the Ironbound Community Corporation have been serving the people of Newark. The gala is our cornerstone event this year, but it is not our only celebration! One of ours stop on the anniversary celebration journey was the Community Block Party at Down Bottom Farms this past June!

Hispanic Heritage Month Begins on Sept 15th

ICC is excited to celebrate National Hispanic Heritage Month!
Hispanic Heritage Month starts on September 15th and goes through October 15th. Hispanic Heritage Month (HHM) takes place every year to recognize and celebrate the contributions and history of Latinos in America. We are excited to honor diverse cultures that make up the Latino community in the Ironbound and beyond. Save the Date of October 15th! Stay tuned for more info to come.
